Trendy Thursday: Military Fashion Trends

No matter your view on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, one thing you cannot argue with is the presence of military fashions this fall. We're highlighting a few that we find mom-friendly. And we say--make fashion (and cupcakes) not war.

Let's kick things off with this trendy military watch from Timex. The Military Classic ($100) is rugged enough for the wildest playdate, while also looking super chic. Plus at bath time it's water-resistant to 100 meters--not likely you'll go deeper than that with the kids.

Cargo pants have always been a mom favorite--hello! we need all those pockets to hold rocks, bugs, flowers and everything else our kids find. Step it up this fall with a super slim military-inspired pair from J Brand. The Houlihan Cargo ($231) has amazing stretch built into the fabric. We're sure cheaper knock-offs will be out this fall.
