The Greatest Gift of All #25

What kind of parent would I be if I were unable to recognize the love of our children as the greatest gift of the season!

With all the hustle and bustle of preparing for the holiday behind us, let's focus on the important things. Spending time with the little people who mean the most to us. It's easy to get frustrated with our tots. This is the time of year when sugar highs send them into orbit and naps are too often skipped. I've tried to manage my expectations and spend more one-on-one time with my girl as opposed to tossing her into too many large social situations. Soon enough she's going to have to share me a bit more, so for now let her savor this special 2:1 parent to child ratio.

Everyone wins when I give my family the present of my presence. For me that means one additional lullaby, one more bedtime story, one last snuggle and putting my "to do" list out of my head for a few minutes.

Have a magical Christmas.
