Are you a Taylor Swift fan? We sure are here at Momtrends. Maybe its the catchy tunes, maybe it's the wholesome (ish) lyrics...maybe it's the fashion. Yep, that must be it. The fashion. As a trendy mom, I love a lot of the music my girls love. That means listening to Taylor Swift and recently, it meant seeing some great Taylor Swift costumes.
Ms. Swift has captured the hearts of my family and we were delighted to stumble upon the fashion exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville. We travelled to Nashville for my 20th Vanderbilt Reunion (Go Dores!) and saw this billboard on the highway. Since we had some extra time on our hands, we decided to stop in.
Country Music Hall of Fame
Mr. Momtrends loved all the legends of country on display. He's music buff, and even though country isn't his thing, he really responded to the historical importance of country music to rock and pop.
The museum is large and a delight for kids, even without Taylor, there's plenty to do and see--think lots of cool cowboy boots, interesting instruments and sparkly dresses. If you only want to go for Taylor--hurry the exhibit closes November 4th.
Best Discoveries When Exploring Bend Oregon
I was completely charmed by my trip to Bend, Oregon. It's a blend of desert and mountain and incredibly cool. The vibe is small town and hip, but it's certainly on the move (they seem to be adding 10,000 new people every year). I made a few new discoveries when exploring Bend and ...read more

Taylor Swift Costumes
But the real reason for our visit was the dresses. The exhibition was called Taylor Swift: Speak Now - Treasures from the World Tour. It included dozens of costumes, instruments (yes the rhinestone guitar), set pieces and props from the six-time Grammy winner's acclaimed 2011-12 Speak Now World Tour. One of our favorite things was seeing the "Love Story" Juliet balcony that would fly out over the stage.
The tour captivated more than 1.5 million fans over 111 shows in 19 countries spanning four continents. Now we're a little obsessed with getting tickets to the RED tour. Happy to provide full Momtrends coverage if her team is reading this!
And we can't wait to see what Taylor wear tomorrow to the CMA Awards.
