Puppets here, puppets there, puppets everywhere in NYC. Right now you can catch City Parks Foundation's launch of Three, an adventurous mash-up of the classic fairy tales “The Three Little Pigs,” “Three Billy Goats Gruff,” and “The Three Bears” at the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre in Central Park. In addition to the park shows, this summer the state-of-the-art Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre is hitting the road.
The PuppetMobile, a traveling extension of the famous located in Central Park, will perform “Sleeping Beauty” in all five boroughs. Founded in 1989, City Parks Foundation (CPF) is the only independent, nonprofit organization to offer park programs throughout the five boroughs of New York City. Regular show times for Three running Now – June 25, 2010 are: Tuesday through Friday: 10:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., with an additional performance at 2:30 p.m. each Wednesday; and Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
