Infants have the magical ability to inspire. Capturing a really good image of these little squirmers--well, that's another issue. This week, NYC moms can meet a pair of the country's most innovative photographers--Tracy Raver and Kelly Ryden as they promote their new book Sleeping Beauties: Newborns in Dreamland.
We picked up a signed copy of the book today as part of the Nebraska moms' media tour. Tracy and Kelly photograph infants (up to two weeks--when they are still in the very sleepy stage). Tracy gently contorts the babies into dreamy poses and Kelly works the lighting and the lens. The result is simply giddy. Babes in hats, slings and swings looking utterly scrumptious. Warning: If you are having baby cravings this book will not curb them! To read more about the sister/photographer team, check out their blog here.
Check out the duo on the Today Show 4/8 in the 8 am hour or for a book signing at Destination Maternity on Friday, April 9. This is a perfect Mother's Day gift.
