Sea Crest Beach Hotel in Cape Cod
Summer family getaways are the best memories of my childhood, ones that I hope to give my children as they grow up. Our recent stay at the Sea Crest Beach Hotel in Cape Cod is sure to be at the top of the most memorable vacations of 2013. Sea Crest Beach Hotel has everything to offer, from beautiful beaches and spacious rooms to fun-filled activities and family-friendly food.
The hotel is located on a gorgeous white sandy beach overlooking the ocean. The clear, waveless waters made swimming perfect for the little ones and the abundance of umbrellas and lounge chairs kept everyone safe from the sun. When you get tired of the beach, there are two pools (indoor and outdoor) to stay cool and a small game room that will quickly gobble up any kid's summer allowance.
We stayed two nights in a double room leading directly to the outdoor patio, perfect for kids to run around and for enjoying a cocktail at sunset. The rooms are nicely decorated, very spacious and equipped with a small refrigerator.
We had so much fun renting a six passenger paddle boat to explore the coast and swim in the deep sea. Various water sport equipment, including the latest paddle boarding, is available for rental on the beach in front of the hotel.
The hotel offers a wide range of activities for both adults and children. For the active vacationer, you can partake in daily beach exercise classes, beach volleyball and aqua zumba and for those more interested in using their creative side there are daily art works, like making seashell animals.

Stylish Beach Accessories for a Day in the Sun, Sand, and Surf
I've been coveting this Eugenia Kim sun hat that's been all over Instagram for the past two months. With a wide-brim and the words "Do Not Disturb" embroidered on the front, it's the ideal accessory for a quiet day of reading on the beach. Built-in shade, some peaceful privacy, ...read more
We were thrilled to eat a healthy breakfast each morning in the Ocean View Restaurant overlooking the white sandy beach. The made-to-order waffles and omelets were a huge hit. For lunch and dinner we dined at Red's, a nautically designed dining room where basic kid-friendly meals and a variety of delicious adult entrees left everyone feeling satisfied.
Our day ended with homemade ice cream, coconut being my favorite, dished out from the ice cream parlor located on the pool deck and an outdoor movie overshadowing the sunset.
Thank you Sea Crest Beach Hotel for more than another photo in the summer vacation album.
