Get your kids excited about instruments by exposing them to kids playing awesome live music. School of Rock is the national leader in music education for kids ages 7-17 and now the superstars from the program are coming to NYC.
Their performance-based curriculum teaches kids to play rock music in an interactive way. Professional musicians teach students of all levels, developing both their music skills and confidence. This summer the kids have been on a kick-butt nationwide summer tour called Live Aid Remade to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the original Live Aid concert. The tour’s been comprised of the best students enrolled in the 58 School of Rock locations.
The line-up for the show will include songs from artists such as U2, The Who, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger, Tina Turner, Black Sabbath, Crosby, Stills Nash & Young, and more. $10 from every ticket sold will benefit Music for Relief (www.musicforrelief.org), a non-profit organization established by rock band Linkin Park which seeks to bring the music community together to raise awareness and funds for victims of natural disasters and help in the prevention of such disasters through environmental programs.
