Oh those mischievous bunnies! We're big fans of Rosemary Wells' books. With a career spanning more than 40 years and 120 books, the prolific Wells has delighted children and the adults (who are often reading the books) with such unforgettable characters as Max, Ruby, and Nora, the attention-seeking mouse. Scholastic Storybook Treasures just delivered the Rosemary Wells Collectionof stories on DVD ($19.95) to your house and we're smitten.
While we don't let the kids watch TV, we do let them pop in the occasional DVD. We love this series that promotes literacy (the words can be displayed on the video) and fun. This 2-disc set features eight of Rosemary Wells best-loved stories, along with Scholastic Storybook Treasures'?? enhanced read-along and comprehension questions to help build early literacy skills, Spanish Versions of '??Noisy Nora'? and '??Max'??s Christmas'?, Interviews with Rosemary Wells, and a '??Gonna Read to My Bunny'? music video.
Ideal for travel--we'd like to see more DVD players loaded with quality programming like the Wells' collection. And a big shout out to Brooklyn's own favorite actress Maggie Gyllenhaal for contributing a voice! For more information on Storybook Treasures visit www.newkideo.com.
