PROJECT Trio at Skirball Center
Hailing from Brooklyn, NY, PROJECT Trio is the chamber music ensemble whose creative style has reinvigorated classical music. Head to this family concert (part of the Big Red Chair Family Series) for music that inspires the next generation of classical music lovers!
Flutist Greg Pattillo, cellist Eric Stephenson, and bassist Peter Seymour make up PROJECT Trio. Pattillo has been featured on Nickelodeons iCarly, and beat-boxes as he plays, energetically blending Hip-Hop rhythms with the flute. Stephensons style ranges from classical and jazz to rock and folk music. He is also a member of the IRIS Chamber Orchestra in Memphis, TN and the Colorado Music Festival. Seymour, an award winning musician, has performed with a multitude of acclaimed artists and ensembles, including the Cleveland Orchestra and the New World Symphony.
All three artists are not only performers but also composers, and are nationally known for creating unique sounds with classical music. The groups new album PROJECT Trio was a #1 selling CD for the first month after its release and is a regular in the top 25 classical selling albums on iTunes. This performance runs 75 minutes and is recommended for ages 8 and up.
