Clever mom alert! We'??re simply loving this cookbook/activity guide/scrapbook called Picture me Cooking. Dreamed up by Maureen Miley Petrie and friends this book serves so many functions in our kitchen.

First and foremost, Picture Me Cooking ($19.89 on Amazon) is a recipe book packed with kid-friendly recipes. We'??ve already tackled the smoothies and two of the deserts. I let my 4 y.o. flip through the book to find recipe ideas--so it's no surprise she opted for the sweet and colorful options.

All the recipes are fairly simple--making it a lovely rainy day activity. While you are cooking, grab your digital camera. Shoot some pictures of your kids whipping up the dishes and print them out.
