I walked all over NYC in heels to get the style scoop for the Momtrends readers. Here's a roundup of what I spotted that you need to know about.
Last summer Jill (Glamamom) encouraged me to join the Glam Media group. Wisely, I took her advice. My ads have never looked better on Momtrends. And they've landed me some great campaigns. The savvy marketers at Glam put together a dinner each year for fashion week. This year it was at Morimoto. The food was amazing and I loved catching up with Tami (Talking with Tami) and Megan Zeitz. Right now Glam gets 356 MILLION monthly uniques and touts 89 of 100 AD AGE TOP 2011 BRANDS. Samir Arora , Chief Executive Officer, Founder and Chairman of the Board spoke to the group and told us the brand is stronger than ever and that digital advertising is a hot property.
Stylist & NMRKT Runway Show
Thanks to TidePods (they were all over New York Fashion Week!) I attended a terrific fashion show on the roof of the Hudson Hotel. 20 industry leaders style the looks of spring 2004. Two of my favorite bloggers, Chassity Evans (LookLingerLove) and Arielle Nachmani (Something Navy) put together cute and attainable looks for spring. Chassity styled a fab outfit from Marysia Swim
P&G Style Lounge
Kristin and I stopped into the #PGstyle lounge to get makeup touchups at the Empire hotel. In addition to COVERGIRL makeup, we got a manicure and hair style from Pantene.
Alice & Olivia
Fresh from our style session we headed to Alice & Olivia's spring preview in Chelsea. The clothes were delish--note to self: start earmarking funds for a beaded jacket this spring.
One of my last stops for fashion week was the unveiling of the all new Chevy Tahoe. The GM team set up at the Cedar Lake studio in Chelsea--a swank setting to take a gander at the new LTZ cars. I think this new Tahoe suits me! The LTZ has tons of room and fashionable feature like leather trim and a retractable step to enter the car. There's also forward collision alert and a lane departure warning--love the safety updates. And for the "connected" moms there's 12 charging ports in the new car!
