Wow so many cool things are happening in our Big Apple. And we're not talking about the runways. Here are three of my most recent finds. The New York Botanic Garden is celebrating Family Harvest Weekend. Today's the last day to win 4 tickets to the event. Go here to enter. Bring the family to learn about nutritious, fun, and delicious recipes that you can try together in your home kitchen.
The weekend lineup at the Conservatory Kitchen includes Chef Lidia Bastianich; Chef Bill Telepan, owner of his eponymous restaurant and an advocate for school lunch reform; and Chef Michel Nischan of the Dressing Room. Take part in music, harvest crafts, and other hands-on fun in the Everett Children'??s Adventure Garden and Ruth Rea Howell Family Garden.
MoMA exhibits the best of the modern kitchen. We got a press preview today when the museum was closed--what a treat. From iconic pictures of food to an amazing tupperware display, this exhibit will appeal to design snobs and chefs alike (and any mom who longs to be more efficient in the kitchen). The exhibit runs from September 15, 2010'??March 14, 2011. Click here for more details.
Jellyfish opens in NYC. With the retail sector languishing we are thrilled that this hip kids boutique just popped up. Forget about frilly and fancy. This spot has all the cool, modern brands we love: Kit + Lilli, Appaman. Right now Momtrends readers can save 30% off everything in the store (shhh, the discount's just for us).
