I'm showing off my personal style today and it's all about blazers & jackets. Seasons past were about swingy cardigans. Now things are getting a tad more structured. A blazer or jacket is the perfect way to transition into spring. Last week I picked a few of my favorites for a new column I am writing for Tend.com including this fabulous tweed jacket:
I became a little obsessed with tweed. Then when I was at a TJMaxx event in March I scored this pink tweed coat I'm wearing in the feature. It had to come home with me. I feel like the pink, plus the tweed is total perfection for spring. Here's how I put the look together. I started with my favorite pair of jeans (jBrand cigarette). Then I wanted a top that was about 4-6" longer than the cropped blazer. Anthing shorter would ruin the proportions and make my torso look really short.
I found a DVF top in hot pink to wear with the jacket. And I'm really happy about the proportions. Of course, I can also wear this blazer with white (or chambray), but the pink was the most exciting.
Are you wearing blazers more this spring? How are you layering? I can't wait to see your fashion posts this week.
