If you mamas of little girls are anything like me, dressing your daughters makes you downright giddy. My hubs can tell you that I literally squealed when we find out our lil' lady bean was a girl. I was so excited, in fact, that my first stop after we left the doctor's office was my favorite children's boutique. I just HAD to pick something girly up for my little cherub. And, although she's been around nearly a year, I'm just as excited as ever about getting her all dolled up. That includes dressing her up in looks that coordinate with her mama's.
Now, I don't put us in the same dresses, but I do love to style our looks with colors and prints that go together. After all, you never know when there will be a photo opp and coordinated mommy and me fashions look so darn cute in pictures. Am I right?
As I've mentioned before, the black and white trend is one of my favorites right now and The Matching Dots just so happens to have a couple of fabulous dresses that allowed my daughter and I to take advantage of that trend. I just love how the polka dots POP!
And as much as I love black and white, I love prints to the moon and back as well. Pink Chicken has long been one of my favorite children's brands, so I was elated to be able to try out their women's line too. The colors in the women's pieces totally coordinate with several of their baby pieces. I don't think I'll ever get over print mixing...Just sayin'!
And I can't forget Global Fashion Week that was launched in London by Alexa and Alexa. Some gorgeous children's designs went down the runway and their grown up counterparts could be found in the designer collections! Just take a look at these mommy and me worthy looks from Chloe. Swoon!
So, do you like to coordinate with your daughter on occasion too lovelies?
