Make Meaning: Creative Studio fo Kids

Wow! Was my reaction when I entered this new Upper West Side creative haven. Make Meaning is all about taking away the pressures of the day through a meaningful creative experience.

The vast space is impeccably designed and outfitted with stations for every DIY project you can imagine. You can get messy with ceramics, make jewelry, create personalized cards, design glass objects, mold unique candles and make personalized soap.

There is a café filled with fine pastries and drinks to maintain your energy and a unique retail space hosting cool gifts like felted soap, candles that look like dessert and Asian inspired tea sets.

The glass exposed loft features additional work tables, refreshments (soon to be wine) and a DJ on Friday nights.

And finally, the private party area, located on the ground floor provides entertainment for all occasions and daily classes like sweet cupcake soap making ($22.00).

If all of this sounds a little overwhelming, don’t worry. The Associate Creative Enthusiasts (or staff) will joyfully attend to your every need making for an unforgettable experience. We promise you will get better service here than in most Manhattan restaurants. And, no reservation is required.

No matter the age, Make Meaning is a great place to relax and have fun. It is slated as our next date night destination.
