After four pregnancies and thousands of runways, Heidi Klum has launched a new line of maternity clothes '?? Lavish by Heidi Klum exclusively for a Pea in the Pod. Hundreds of fans, pregnant and not, swarmed Destination Maternity for New York'??s Fashion'??s Night Out. We were there to view the upscale line of maternity clothes and catch a glimpse of the German Goddess.
Before checking out the 2010 Lavish collection we took a walk through maternity fashion history from the 1950'??s to 2010. Can you guess which one is from today by Lavish? We loved the 1950'??s spaghetti strap silk bodice and white lace dress paired with pearls and a clutch. Note: For those of you who love vintage clothes or just clothes with character - you won'??t find it in Lavish.

Instead, you can expect to find basic, dark-colored soft cotton t-shirts, tunics, stretchy leggings, and a few dresses with ruching and draping. Beaded studs, sequins and prints were added to some of the tops for the trendy folks. The lambskin leather skinny pant with an elastic waist caught our eye, but only before quickly piercing it with the price tag ($550). Ouch!
We were also a little disappointed not to get any quality time with Heidi to ask her about the line...what's to come, her inspiration etc. For now we can only give you a tip: Be prepared to do some lavish spending with plain cotton t-shirts starting at $70. With a price point like this and the limited wear, we say grab the current online sales with some 50% savings available at Destination Maternity.
