How to Wear Oxfords

When it comes to footwear, I definitely have my favorites. I turn to ballet flats, t-strap sandals and moccasins for casual wear and pointed-toe pumps and ankle strap sandals for dressier occasions. That's what I pretty much stuck to until the lovely Nicole Feliciano told me about a gorgeous pair of metallic Oxfords from J. Crew. I've always thought that Oxford style shoes were cute, but I wasn't quite sure if they were for me. Metallics, however, are definitely for me! So, I'm thinking it's time to put some looks together that would show off these metallic beauties! Don't you?

I've always been a big fan of pairing masculine and feminine contradictions if you will. So, I think Oxfords would look darling styled with girly pieces.

Metallics and Pink

The silver hue of the Crew pair makes them fabulously versatile and dressy enough that they look perfectly at home with a dress. While I love a good LBD, a little white dress is more my speed for summer and you can't go wrong with the style and functionality of a cross body bag! How fun is this BRIGHT Kate Spade beauty?

Even though Oxfords can be dressed up, they're super fun to rock with casual wear too! Pair them with a chambray tank and printed shorts. You'll have a sassy, yet comfy look, which is always this mama's goal for style. Comfort is a necessary part of the fashion equation for us moms? Am I right?

Metallics and Peplum

For a happy medium between dressy and casual, try rockin' a pretty peplum top, cuffed jeans and some statement arm candy with your Oxfords. This look would be perfect for date night! Having a bambino at home, I may not get many date nights, but I have outfit ideas galore ready for when we ARE able to make it out of the house. Haha!

As you can see, Oxfords are crazy versatile! So, how would you style them lovelies?
