We don't talk politics (much) , but we do 100% support the American Armed Forces. Here's something we found newsworthy: On 10/7 the USO hosted its annual gala in Washington DC, The event honored 5 service men and women from each branch of the military for their extraordinary loyalty and heroism.
This star-studded event was attended by over 1,000 guests and dignitaries. To make the evening even more incredible, Procter & Gamble hosted the P&G; Beauty Room. The five proud moms and the devoted wives of the honorees gathered to have their hair and makeup done by top DC beauty pros, using COVERGIRL and Pantene products.
You may remember I attended the Olympics this year to report on P&G;'s Thank You Mom program--this is another great example of the brand's Proud Sponsor of Mom program--designed to thank moms everywhere for the sacrifices they make for their families on a daily basis. We salute the unique sacrifices borne by military moms.
As you can see from the photos, the P&G; Beauty Room was buzzing with excitement as the women enjoyed pampering for the glamorous evening. And after a whirlwind visit to the nation'??s capital, which included meeting senior military and congressional officials, the P&G; Beauty Room also provided a perfect place for the moms to relax, enjoy their beauty treatments and prepare for the emotional culmination of their trip: seeing their son or daughter presented with a USO Serviceman of the Year award.
