From Duck Dynasty to a sweet snowman, Teleflora is covering all the key floral trends this holiday. As a premiere sponsor of our Holiday Blogger Event, we were thrilled to have Teleflora come share the hottest floral trends of the season. Now it's time to share Marie Ackerman, Teleflora's Vice President Education, tips for getting your house ready for the holidays and giving the best gifts of the season.
First let's talk about where to put flowers. Marie recommends three key spots: the front door (the initial welcome is warmer and the goodbye is sweeter!), the mantel in the room where you spend the most time and the dining table.
Once you've picked your display you'll want to get the maximum life from your flowers. The obvious: keep them well watered. TIP: Pay special attention to flowers in extra warm rooms or those with fireplaces. You'll want to bring the flowers to the sink (this avoids rings on furniture from spills!) and fill to ½” of the top (if your bouquet is made in a block of foam, make sure the areas surrounding the foam are filled with water).
Teleflora is teaming up with Duck Dynasty for a "Duck the Halls" Christmas. Duck cast picked favorite arrangements to share and with each purchase you'll get a Duck the Hall CD. Jep and Jessica picked the Send a Hug Cuddle Bears Bouquet ($49.95). Like all Teleflora arrangements, its not just a one-time gift. The recipient gets a keepsake that turns the treasured gesture of a bouquet into a lasting memento. Willie & Korie with the Holiday Flair Centerpiece ($64.99; seen in feature).
