Holiday Activities for Kids at Brooklyn Children's Museum
While school’s out (December 24th – January 2nd), the Brooklyn Children's Museum is the “in” place to be, during our annual Winter Break - Festival of Lights. Back by popular demand, this year’s festival boasts unique interactive family programs exploring toys, holiday customs, and seasonal traditions from across the globe like a toy inventors’ workshop, decorating a holiday candle-holder, a tour with Rapunzel and her golden flute, and much more!
Head to the museum's calendar page here to see what is going on each day. (Note: Museum is closed Saturday, December 25, and Saturday, January 1.) All special programs are included with Museum admission. For example, Toy Inventor’s Workshop: Rockets! Is being held in 12/26 at 1:30pm, for ages 5 and up. Ingenious kids know how to make their own fun. Learn the basics of propulsion and Newton’s laws of motion, then it’s 3-2-1 blast off!
Other featured Festival of Lights programs include: Kwanzaa: A Celebration of Family, Community, and Culture, Fati and Charles: Three Kings Day and Linked by Lights.
