Halloween Fun at the NYBG

How much do we love the New York Botanical Gardens? How about 1,810 ways! They've got the Guinness World Record-Holding Pumpkin (all 1,810 lbs. of it) on display from now until October 31. Plus, there's tons of other cool, fun things to do with the kids this week thanks to the Halloween Hoorah.

On Oct. 30 the big daddy pumpkin will be carved into the world’s largest jack-o’-lantern! The weekend will also have Halloween Parades 2x per day (12 and 2 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday) through the Everett Children's Adventure Garden. Dress up your kids in their Halloween costumes and watch the fun as all the little people parade through the garden. It's a splendid site decorated with 500 pumpkins carved and sculpted by Michael Anthony Natiello. There's also cider pressing, leaf rubbing, and much more in a jam-packed schedule of Hoorah activities.
