Halloween at Target

halloween party treats

Each year my kids start talking about what they want to be for Halloween the day after Halloween. While it is never easy listening to this chatter for a full year, Target is there to make the selection process easy and affordable.

Halloween at Target delivers a collection of the most popular costumes of the season. You will find Ninja in every design, color and character, even this Ninja Muscle costume (retail $16.00 on line).

Target offers high quality, detailed costumes available from every category: TV, horror, character, and career for both boys and girls. I love the creative edge to the typical costume offerings, like this D/Ceptions2 Cheerless leader Costume (retail $24.99).

Costumes? Check. We try to keep the focus on dressing up and the festive part of the holiday (knowing that candy is inevitable). One of our traditions is to throw a Halloween party to “show off” the costumes and celebrate. Target offers décor for all your needs from unique paper products to sparkly lighting. I found the LED (see the table in the main feature) branch lights to brighten my candy corn centerpiece. And we added a game: The kids have to guess how many candy corns are in the cylinder vase.

Keeping the kids entertained at the party, no problem. This bat piñata (retail $10.99) will keep them batting for the surprise. And don’t forget the festive treats! In addition to the traditional candies abundant at Target, I found the Target exclusive halloween gummies and shopped the food isle to create fun snacks for our guests. We filled plastic bags (I printed the labels for the bags) with mini- marshmallows to make Ghost Poop and caramel covered popcorn (in paper cupcake holders) with gumball eyes. Mummy’s poison, a.k.a apple cider, is also on the spooky menu.
