Looking for a fun evening out WITH the kids? If you've never been to Chelsea Piers on the West Side Highway, then now is your time to go. With it's family friendly activities, your little ones will have plenty to keep them busy. First, try out the new 300 Lanes bowling alley and arcade.

Upon entering Chelsea Piers, there is an array of activities to choose from: Ice Skating, Golfing, Batting Cages, and Bowling. 300, the new bowling alley, offers a hip and fun way to get the whole family active and having a blast. The space is new and clean and anyone will feel like a bowling champion regardless of their skill level. Instead of painted numbers on the lanes, they use chic lighting to display the lane numbers on the floor. (which, admittedly, took me a minute to figure out).

There are also big screen TV's everywhere with music videos, cartoons, and sports playing. There are plenty of alleys as well as a redemption arcade. Like most modern arcades, all the games use a play-card which you can load money onto and then swipe to play. The restaurant offers standard American food (burgers, fried things, and a small children's menu) and there is a decent sized bar, for those of you inclined. At $6 a game per person for adults and children, it’s a great deal for an outing.

If you decide for a night out alone, there is a lounge up stairs (called Club 300) that has another bar, billiards, and shuffleboard. They also offer fancy martinis, which could make your bowling experience that much better.

300 is a great place for adult or children's birthday parties, as there is a separate "party room" with 6 lanes and it's own bar. They have package deals which you can check out here.
