From Brooklyn to the Upper West Side, the fashion industry is buzzing about the news that this year’s shopping extravaganza called Fashion’s Night Out. Grab your Amex (and a sitter you won't want to drag the kiddos to most of these events) and mark your calendar for September 10th.

The 2010 edition of the biggest fashion party in history promises to be equally epic, splurge inspiring and full of even more stylish surprises.For a full list of specific stores that are participating go here. These are some of the highlights for our trendy mom crowd:

Barneys NY is hosting a Karaoke contest judged by Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen & Lazaro & Jack of Proenza Schouler. 660 Madison Ave.

Dylan’s Candy Bar & hosts a game of "fashion police"-- shoot fashion victims with flying marshmallows from the signature Dylan's Candy Bar Marshmallow Gun. Candy cocktails, compliments of Ed Hardy Vodka. Candy couture dresses designed by students of the Savannah College of Art and Design will be on display. 1011 Third Ave

Kate Spadehas Tim Gunn, chief creative officer of Liz Claiborne inc and co-host of project runway, and Deborah Lloyd, creative director of Kate Spade NY, for a window styling contest. Contestants create displays inspired by Tim''s newest book, Gunn’s Golden Rules and the designs will be judged by Tim and Deborah. Broome St., Soho.
