There's something magical about NYC in the fall. Crisp air, Central Park ablaze with color, tons of cultural offerings--it's a great time to visit the city. And now we've got another reason to plan a trip: I'll be speaking at the SuperMompreneur conference in NYC on October 30. In preparation for my seminar on using blogs to promote your brand, I've got savings to share and ideas on how to make the most of your time in NYC.
First the savings. 10 lucky Momtrends readers can save 50% off tickets to the conference. Use the code "NF50" and get your conference ticket for half off. There are only 10 tickets available using this code and ticket sales end 10/15 go here to register and learn more about the conference.
Now here are our ideas for things to do and see in NYC this fall:
Get crafty at FAO: This toy emporium is a must for kids in NYC. Instead of quickly spending a bundle, spend some time creating a memory at Make Meaning---the paint your own pottery shop withing FAO.
Catch a show: Broadway can be mighty pricey. Try one of the family-friendly off-broadway performances. We suggest two new shows: Angelina Ballerina Live at the Vital Theater or Strawberry Freckleface the Musical. And you can't go wrong with the amazing Gazillion Bubble Show.
Don't miss the new LEGO flagship in Rock Center--this is a haven for builders.
Try a brgr--we don't think you'll be disappointed with this casual meal--perfect for the kids and exciting for Mom's tastebud's too.
Shop Till You Drop: We love the selection of whimsical toys at Dinosaur Hill and for mom? We say head to the Soho. You'll find loads of the designers you love at Scoop or Olive & Bette's, plus cupakes from Baked By Melissa.
Exhibit to catch: MoMA has a nifty little exhibit called Counter Space after checking out the vintage tupperware grab a snack at the tasty bar on 5.
Field Trip: Take the subway out to the New York Botanical Garden and see the fall splendor in this magnificent setting. Have a picnic on the lawn and bring the kids to the Everett Children's Garden.
