Mini-Style Saturday: Fall Footwear Roundup

If there is something that kids definitely need every fall, it's new shoes. Can you believe how fast their feet grow? I've been told that our little cherubs typically grow half a size every three months! Can you believe that? No wonder it seems like I'm buying a new pair of shoes every time I turn around. I don't know about your kids, but mine LOVE shoe shopping...just like their mama. Haha!

My rough and tumble little dude gets all kinds of excited when he gets to pick out a new pair of kicks! So, I'm sure you can imagine how excited he was when a package arrived for him and it was a fun new pair of sneakers. He was so pumped, in fact, that he insisted on wearing them to his baseball game. We had to put on his cleats and jersey at the last minute! His beloved skull shirt and new favorite shoes were much more important. Haha!

PLAE customized shoes are made from eco-friendly, breathable and washable materials. I don't know which part I love more...that Plae shoes are customizable or that I can throw them in the washing machine anytime I want. I had such a blast selecting the colors for my son's shoes. Right on their website you can create your own pair with customized tabs that allow you to change up the look of the shoes! Are you ready to create your own pair? As necessary as sneakers are, it's likely that your wee ones need more than kicks in their closet. Here are some of my favorites for fall...

Girls: Carlos By Carlos Santana, Dr. Martens, B.O.C., Zodiac/ Boys: Clarks, Perry Ellis, Dockers, Dr. Martens available at

For those of you in tween town, boots are definitely a fall wardrobe shopping must have. A killer pair of boots will complete both your girls' and your boys' fall looks.

Cole Haan Air Chuka available at Nordstrom, Cole Haan City Chuka available at Zappos, Isaac Mizrahi Celia available at Bloomingdales, Michael Michael Kors Baby Grace Boot available at Nordstrom

I even plan on picking a couple pairs of boots for my fifteen month old. I've told you before about how she glows when she's wearing something pretty, so a girly pair of boots is right up her alley. I can so see them with leggings and a sweater dress...Can't you?!? So, obviously I had to round up a few pairs of boots for those of us who have tiny tots!
