CVS Beauty Basket Finds

at home

Spring is here! Layers are coming off and toes might even be peeking out of sandals soon. Gone are the heavy colors and feet hidden in boots. For me, that means it's mani/pedi season.

I wreck my hands most of the winter (ski season is not kind to nails) and my toes hide out in boots. In the spring, I like to treat my hands and feet to intense moisture and pampering to get them ready to be seen again.

While I splurge on my hair care (coloring and blow-outs don’t come cheap in NYC), I don’t have the time or beauty budget to get weekly manicures and pedicures. I find it’s easier and more efficient to set up a home salon. First stop? The CVS beauty aisles. I can get all the supplies I need there for a home spa for under $50. Plus, with CVS Beauty Club, for every $50 I spend I get $5 back in ExtraBucks Rewards (which is like getting a free bottle of nail polish!).

After I've stocked up on all my supplies, I set up shop during one of my favorite shows (right now I'm obsessed with Nashville) and get to work. Nothing beats the comfort of your living room! I catch up on the scandals and show tunes as I file and paint. By the time the hour's up my pedicure is done and my feet are ready to slip into cute spring sandals.

In my beauty basket video I share a few of my "must haves" including the CVS Intense Relief Moisturizing Hand Cream Colloidal Oatmeal and Sally Hansen Gel Manicure polishes. In the video, you'll also see what my friends Audrey McClelland and Vera Sweeney score as part of their CVS Beauty Club $50 shopping hauls.
