I'm on the hunt for cute summer-weight equestrian clothes for the girls. It's not an easy find. The normal riding pants are heavy and stiff. I want something breathable. And I want selection plus good quality photos to shop from. You can see I'm a little demanding. Comes with the territory of running a style-centric business.
When I met with the marketing team of the UK-based company Alex & Alexa I praised them for carrying great sports gear for girls. It is stylish, well-curated and beautifully displayed. But I worried about the overseas shipping element.
Last month they nudged me to try it out and send me a credit to shop the site. Knowing that I had weeks of horseback riding camp in my future, I quickly clicked to the equestrian page for girls and ordered two pairs made by Harry Hall.
They arrived in the sweetest packaging and pretty speedy (I didn't pay for express). Love the tote bag that was included.
How to Celebrate Adoptive Parents
I recently learned that a friend who had been patiently awaiting a child became a parent practically overnight. When I heard about this loving couple bringing home their first baby, it really got me thinking about how to celebrate adoptive parents. We have experience with ...read more
Spiked Apple Cider Pops
September in the South is, in my opinion, still summer. The eighties and nineties always prevail and make the traditional fall flavors that I crave so much slightly out of reach. As much as I want to relax and sip on some hot cider, at the moment, I still need something iced. ...read more

The girls were thrilled and I was too. I admit, I'm not a rider. The whole horsey-set is a little mysterious to me. That being said, I love the style. After all those years of working for Ralph Lauren, it's only fitting I have a thing for horses. When the clothes arrived (about two weeks later), I was thrilled with the quality. Sturdy! Colorful! Comfortable! The girls didn't grumble about suiting up for lessons (they love riding, but hate the itchy pants we have found at the local consignment shop).
When they outgrow these, I'll definitely head back to Alex & Alexa to order again. For mom who are already schooled on these things, the site also carries Toggi clothes and boots. If you are a multi-tasking mama with horse-crazy kids, Alex and Alexa is a total find.
Momtrends was not paid for this post. We did get a gift card to shop the site.
