I have always been skeptical about taking a cruise until now. My family and I had the opportunity to be one of the first people to board the Norwegian Getaway during a special day event with The Moms.
The ship hosts 16 floors of outstanding entertainment, restaurants and accommodations. We previewed a selection of entertainment including the Broadway hit Legally Blonde, Nickelodeon characters and Burn the Floor dancers.
You will never go hungry with 40 restaurants featuring international cuisine. Plus, special treats from Carlos's Bakery.
Skip the Crowds and Take Your Family Skiing in Waterville Valley
After a sizable snow storm over Martin Luther King weekend, there were plenty of lift lines and skiers heading to Vermont. Amazingly, most of them drove right past an awesome resort. I'm encouraging families to skip the crowds on the next winter holiday and take a family ski trip ...read more
Keeping your New Year's resolutions
The New Year is off to a fresh start, and many of us are committed to doing something or many things with more intention this year. But it's tough to stay on track. In fact, “Quitters Day”, which falls on January 14th this year, is the day when most people give up. How can you ...read more
Kids in the Kitchen: Mini Banana Waffle Pies With Peanut Butter Dipping Sauce

I was most excited to see the accommodations and the range of options. Each floor is themed, from Spa to Haven, with impressive decor and design. While the Haven Deluxe Owner Suite (larger than my Manhattan apartment) was my favorite, The Family Mini Suite with Balcony is definitely the best priced for the amenities.
Boredom will never cross your mind on the Norwegian Getaway. The kids can stay entertained in Splash Academy or in the outdoor pool and water slides while you treat yourself at the spa, play a few games of poker, take up Karaoke in the Grammy Hall, watch a performance in the theatre or join in on a dueling piano match at the Comedy Club. Booking entertainment and dining is convenient and easy with the electronic wall boards located on each floor.
The Norwegian Getaway accommodates 4,700 people and has 1,600 staff, a ratio of 1:3, better than private schooling ratio in NYC, so you will certainly be taken care of. Happy Cruising!
Disclosure: Momtrends was not paid for this post. We were treated to a day aboard the Norwegian Cruise Ship as part of The Moms special event.
