Look out Marc Jacobs and Stella McCartney--the ladies at Momtrends are designing up a storm with the new Crayola My Virtual Fashion Show. It'a a coloring kit and virtual fashion design house. We've been testing this new Crayola product and are having a blast designing fashions on paper and then watching them come to life and walk the runway on my iPad.
Here's how it works: Open up the sketch book and start creating! Use markers, colored pencils (included), glitter glue, lace, whatever trikes your fancy to design dresses, tops, skirts and pants. Here's one I created:
When you're finished drawing and designing, use your smart phone or tablet device to capture the creation. Instructions on the app help you line up a few squares and click. Simple, I swear. Next step is to further customize the image on the My Virtual Fashion Show app. Your child can customize the model's look and add accessories, then watch as she walks down a virtual runway wearing your creation--all set to groovy runway music.
It's the prefect gift for girls 5 and up who love clothes and fashion.
Fashion portfolio--the purple case that holds everything.
12 mini colored pencils
Sketch book--female shapes with various blank outfits for you to color in and design.
The download is free, the kit costs $19.99. Click here to buy My Virtual Fashion Show on Amazon
A huge thank you to Audrey & Vera (of Getting Gorgeous fame) for the invitation to test this out. The launch party at Dylan's Candy was a blast--but the most fun was taking this home and setting the girls loose!
Momtrends was not paid for this post. We did get free samples.
