Since moms spend an unbelievable amount of time in the kitchen, don't you think we should at least make it a pretty space? I'm all for pops of color in clothing and accessories. Why not bring in some of your favorite brights to liven up this work space. House Beautiful, had a great feature on this topic (you can read more here) that inspired me.
I wanted to share some additional ideas on how to add color to your kitchen:
Ikea has colorful countertops and wall panel for all you do-it-yourself types. You'll find plenty of orange in their offerings.
Feeling really daring? How about a lime green refrigerator from Smeg. This UK brand overs a veritable rainbow of options. We say, why not delight in making all those school lunches with this 50's style appliance ($1750).
Bakers can add pops of color to their kitchens for a little less money. We love the Kitchenaid series in bright cherry red. They've expanded the offerings on this essential tool and we say--go with big color.
Speaking of red, I think tile is an amazing way to add color to your kitchen. For inspiration, head to Hakati.
