I seldom wear one designer from head to toe--too obvious and too precious. Mixing things up is an art form. That can mean wearing expensive designer items with something from Target or wearing something old with something new. I'm always trying to inspire you to work with what you've got.
In the spirit of that goal, I'm showing you an outfit with FOUR brands involved. Isn't that pretty standard these days! The Panel Dress is from J.Crew. I bought it for the Fashion Forward Conference Runway through an ebates program and got 6% cash back on the purchase. All you have to do is sign up (free) and then shop. In a few weeks, you'll get a rebate check in the mail. I've gotten more than $300 in checks so far. The boots are from Vince Camuto (also an ebates retailer). I had been hunting for a good over the knee boot, but these caught my eye instead. The thick heel is perfect for those days where I will be on my feet for hours and hours.
Now let's talk accessories. I took a break from statement necklaces because I wanted it to be all about this bag. A few weeks ago I met Angela O'Brien the designer of the www.cleobella.com line. She let me borrow this leather Estelle bag for this photo shoot (that's right ladies I had to give it back). The bag has a python-embossed panel and super trendy studs ($343). The bags are exquisite and made in Bali. You have to check them out! And the Stella & Dot Soiree Trio Ring ($49) added all the sparkle I needed.

Spiked Apple Cider Pops
September in the South is, in my opinion, still summer. The eighties and nineties always prevail and make the traditional fall flavors that I crave so much slightly out of reach. As much as I want to relax and sip on some hot cider, at the moment, I still need something iced. ...read more
