Cabi makes amazing fashion for my travel needs. The pieces look great put together as a collection, they pair well with season's past and they work with other designers.
I had a very small bag to work with for our two week European trip. On the agenda: visiting family, touring cities, hiking fjords, elegant dinners, and amusement parts. What!?!?! How do you pack for this type of trip?
Oh, did I mention the weather would range from 40 to 90 degrees?
This is a travel conundrum.
I need versatility, so the CAbi fall collection was the perfect solution. First and foremost, I rely on the denim collection. It's sturdy, yet chic. This season, distressed is soooo trendy. The deconstructed jean from CAbi is slim but not stressfully skinny and has all the hippest distressing. All my CAbi denim is amazing on the road. In fact, I took three pairs on this trip! White, yellow and the pair you see above. CAbi denim is a must have for the savvy traveller.
You've got your jeans. Another solutions is layers. Smart layers--that's what Cabi is all about. The Cabi sweaters are perfect for packing and playing with outfits.Since the temps fluctuated so much, having the sunny Belle Cardigan was essential. I wore it with a cami on dressier nights and with tees during the day when I was out sightseeing with the family.
Here's the family in the port of Bergen, Norway. We walked a ton, so I wanted comfy shoes and clothes that worked with sneakers. This town was our first stop in Norway before heading to the fjords.
Another casual favorite was the Cabi Turn Tee --it looks so basic from the front--which makes it a great layering piece. But, it can also stand alone. I paired it with colored denim and my boyfriend jeans. The fit is flattering and the cotton is sublime.
Hotel note: we stayed at the Det Hanseatiske Hotel in Bergen. It's a gem and we were able to walk to all the locations shown above. Get more details here
I love all the options I had with the Belle Cardigan. I paired it with my yellow Cabi jeans from last season and with this striped skirt from another designer--showing that it's ok to break the rules.
