Busy Mom Tips for Working Smarter

#getitdone, office365, microsoft, multitasking moms, get organized, tips for busy moms

How do busy women get it all done? Creativity. Energy. The right tools. That's my key to success. Tomorrow I'm celebrating all of these at a special event with Microsoft Office 365.

As I type this, I am flying back from Seattle after three days of getting a glimpse of all the amazing things Microsoft is doing to help all of us get things done. I saw products and services that are aimed to help me be more efficient. While I'm 10,000 feet in the air, I have access to all my files thanks to SkyDrive--where I store my important notes. I can and DO work anywhere. With my Office365 subscription, I get 20GB SkyDrive storage, and I stash my notes, photos, and files. I'm able to get a jump on my week in the sky so when I get home to the kids I can focus on being mommy.

I'm admit I am a tad over-scheduled. Tomorrow, I head to the Noguchi Museum, but thanks to Office365 on my phone, I can access all my files on the go. When I work on the phone, it'll sync up to SkyDrive and I constantly have the most current information on OfficeMobile for my DROID phone.

I'm the perfect person to talk about #getitdone and I know you all are right there with me. Tomorrow, November 7th Microsoft is declaring it Get it Done Day and starting a movement for all the unbound accomplishers out there. To bring the day to life, Microsoft is hosting installations throughout New York City that will highlight places where amazing accomplishments are changing the world. They’ll also showcase how people can collaborate in real-time and be productive anywhere with Office 365.

officce stats quote

According to a recent study conducted online by Harris Interactive on behalf of Microsoft, more than half of office workers (53%) would be willing to work more hours – and one in five would be willing to take a pay cut – to have more flexibility in where and when they got work done. Not only that, but nearly one in five office workers (19%) admit that they have worked while going to the bathroom. As a business owner, I traded in a reliable income for creativity and flexibility. Thankfully I've got the right tools to get it all done.
