Bronx Dancers Featured on Angelina Ballerina

Kick up your heels this St. Patrick’s Day with Angelina Ballerina and local Bronx dance group, “Keltic Dreams." The dance group is based out of NYC's Public School 59. Tune into WNET ch. 13 on March 16th at 10:30am on Angelina Ballerina: The Next Steps.

The kids from the Bronx-based “Keltic Dreams,” a group of 33 dancers ages 7 to 12, was formed about four years ago at P.S. 59. Here’s a link where you can learn more about the group The series, which is a re-imagination of the classic Angelina Ballerina series, debuted this past September in full CG animation, incorporating elements of choreography from top dance organizations from American Ballet Theatre to Alvin Ailey. Each episode of Angelina Ballerina: The Next Steps, an animated series for kids ages 4 to 7, includes an interstitial where young dancers perform dance steps that children can emulate at home. If you're going to expose your kids to tv, it doesn't get much better than this!
