Boy Scouts Take Over Time Square

Image placeholder title

NYC celebrates a century of scouting by letting the boys in blue camp out in the Big Apple. As the Boy Scouts of America celebrates its 100th Anniversary this year, the Greater New York Council is launching into the next century by reintroducing New York City to the excitement and adventure of Scouting.

For their Times Square Jamboree, New York Scouts are inviting all area families to participate in numerous free activities like Times Square has never seen, including:
· A canoe canal
· Climbing walls
· Virtual archery and kayaking
· Thousands of Scouts camping overnight at the Staten Island Yankees’ ballpark & The Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum
· Evening stage show featuring Scout emcees and a broadcast of the Centennial Celebration Show from the National Scout Jamboree at Fort A.P. Hill, Va.
