Don't you love a trend that works for everyone? The black and white trend of this spring is so easy to pull off--any you likely have everything you need in your closet already!
The black and white trend works whether you are 13 or 103. You can be a size 0 or a 26. It's all good.
Since I wanted to draw attention upwards I put the print on top. If you are top-heavy, dotted pants and a solid blouse are also an option. Once I had the dots (from Zara), I brought out some old Ralph Lauren Collection pants. They are this terrific linen/denim combo with awesome white pick-stitching. Circa 2000, they still look good. I also brought out the RL slingbacks in black and white--they were from the same season. I had a lot of swank clothes from this era since I was the Asst. General Manager of the store on Madison Avenue. Lots of heels and fancy frocks.
