The Best Energy Bar Recipes

Like most busy mamas I find myself on the go ALL the time! This week I've been running this one to dance camp and that one to Lego camp, in totally different directions, of course, all the while attempting to at least semi keep up with the house and get some work done as well. It's been hectic to say the least. And with the school year bearing down on us, I know things are only going to get busier. We haven't even added baseball or swim to the equation yet. Eeeeeeek! So to say I need to keep my energy up is the understatement of the year. I know you feel me mamas! And I also know that you're going to love these energy bar recipes that I rounded up...

Now, don't get me wrong, I certainly turn to ready-made bars all the time, but if I can squeeze a few extra minutes out of my day, I love the idea of making them myself. Plus, the kids love homemade energy bars too! And when I say a few minutes...I'm serious. I'm not about to spend my precious wine drinking time (I jest, or do I? Bwah!) in the evening preparing energy bars. I want to be in and out...And, thanks to these easy energy bar recipes, I can be!

2 Ingredient Energy Bars...When I said easy, I meant it. Our 2 ingredient bar requires, ta-da, just two ingredients, nuts and the dry fruit of your choice...And don't think we skimped on the flavor! These bars are mighty tasty. I'm partial to adding cherries myself. Just sayin'.

Cherry Almond Granola Bars...On that note, Take Time for Style made the yummiest looking granola bars using, you guessed it, cherries! Just make sure you don't eat the whole pan. You probably don't need every last bite to get your energy surge. Bwah!

Cranberry Almond Energy Bites...This last one is more of a bite than a bar, as the name indicates, but all those powerful ingredients still add up to a pick me up. Mom Endeavors had me at the addition of almond butter. I love it as much as I do peanut butter...and that's saying a lot! Who's with me?
