I finished the Brooklyn Half Marathon last weekend in a personal best time--1:49:35. It took a lot of hard training in all sorts of weather. Winter running has it's beauty challenges (dry skin and wind burn), but summer running is even trickier. Of course I had a training program for my mileage (I used tips from Dr. Metzl) but I also had a summer running beauty program.
Whether you’ve got a half marathon on your calendar or just plan on logging fun runs in the park, hours spent pounding the pavement can leave your skin dehydrated and sun-exposed and your feet cracked and tired. Check out more of my Beauty Finds for Runners here:
To keep everything running smoothly, make sure you have these skin and body saviors to get you to the finish line.
In addition to these, I'm loving Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream as my go-do daily skincare. It's not only the #1 anti-aging facial moisturizer, it's now got SPF 30 sun protection too--every runner needs this! We all know sun is the number one cause of aging. Yes, hats can help, but they can't do everything. The lotion absorbed fast into my skin, and best of all didn't sting when I started to sweat. It's lightweight and perfect for my active lifestyle.
