My daughter is into everything princess so I was thrilled when I had the chance to attend a screening of Beauty and Beast in 3D, a movie that I also loved growing up. Starting January 13, 2012, the 1991 full-length animated classic, staring the book-loving Belle and the enchanted Beast who must love Belle and win Belle's love in order to break a spell that has been cast upon him and his kingdom.

While watching this classic tale (now with 3D glasses), I loved how my daughter was on the edge of her seat and marveling at the flying teacups or the Beauty and the Beast singing and dancing (literally) before her eyes. She laughed at Gaston and marveled at the 'Be Our Guest' scene and the size of the Beast and his dark castle. Having not seen the movie in years, I also enjoying sharing this moment with her as she was enraptured in the story that I also loved growing up. As part of the re-release I think this will be one of the special moments that many parents enjoy as they watch the 3D version.

Audience members will get a treat with Tangled Ever After, a short film that follows the wedding of Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder. This time, though the focus is on Pascal and Maximus who loose their wedding bands that takes them on a frenzied and comical search through town. Fans of Tangled will love this short sequel as they get to view all of their favorite characters and a few hijinks before Flynn and Rapunzel say 'I do.'

In addition to Beauty and the Beast, Disney will also be re-releasing Finding Nemo, Monsters, Inc. and The Little Mermaid due to the success of the release of the Lion King that garnered $80 million in the U.S.! Disney certainly has a way with telling stories and now our kids have a chance to some of the classics that we loved on the big screen.

The film will return to theaters for a limited time staring on January 13th. Check your local listings.
