Want to get the best views of the Macy's Parade? We've got all the details, plus some insider scoop. First, you'll want to dress warm and set the alarm, though the parade starts at 9pm, those wanting good views will need to be up and at 'em around 6.
Timing: The Parade Route begins at 77th Street & Central Park West. There is a viewing area there and the crowd will be to see about 90 minutes of entertainment at this point. Things spread out as the parade marches towards Macy's expect about 3 hours of show in front of the legendary store. And the NBC coverage runs from 9 a.m. until noon.
Performers: Superstar Kylie Minogue will appear and we are proud to say Momtrends' own Mandy Fisher will be a dancing candycane on the float with Jordan Sparks as the featured singer. In addition there will be marching bands, 25 large floats and 15 giant balloons. New additions to the balloon collection this year include Kung Fu Panda and the Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
Insider's Tip: Check out the balloon inflation Wednesday, November 24, 2010. Bring the kids and watch the 25 balloons come to life. This takes place from 3 - 10 p.m. near the American Museum of Natural History just off Central Park West between 77th St. and 81st St.
