Keeping true to the 1956 original novel, the story is told from the dog'??s perspective. The actors are cleverly costumed in stilts to appear larger than the animal actors who are dressed in black-and-white spotted dog costumes. These doggy actors are certainly cute, but the real stars of the show are the fifteen Dalmatians, many of which were rescued from animal shelters. I got to meet one of these amazing doggy talents, Rascal the Dalmatian, and saw why Cruella De Vil kidnapped him!

When the dogs appeared on stage, the kids (including my daughter) lunged forward with excitement and watched in amazement as these little entertainers performed so brilliantly. While the dogs easily stole the hearts of audience, the music touched mine. I found myself with goose bumps and smiles as they sang, "Be a Little Braver,'? my favorite. The other original songs composed for the musical are also lively and fun and are sure to be a hit among all.
