Summer is in full swing, which means poolside shindigs and BBQ's aplenty. We love any reason to celebrate, and since pineapples are so on trend this year, we decided to throw a tropical pineapple party.

Throw a pineapple Party

We started by creating a colorful backdrop with lanterns, fans, and honeycomb balls from Under the Paper Lantern.

We love that Under the Paper Lantern offers a rainbow of specifically curated colors to choose from—perfect for any party theme. We wanted our party to have a tropical feel so we chose bright, fun colors, and featured an array of pink, blue, and yellow lantern as our backdrop.

A party isn't a party without cupcakes! We spruced up some simple yellow frosted cupcakes with palm tree food picks to make them look like mini pineapples. It's an easy hack for your pineapple party or summer luau, if you're challenged in the cake decorating department—like me!

We displayed our cupcakes on our favorite rustic wooden cake stand.

Those lanterns though! I seriously was in love with how fun the backdrop came out. It was definitely the centerpiece and statement maker at our party. The colors were bright and vibrant, and we used a variety of sizes and colors to really add a pop to this party. It was hands down the hit of the get together!

We served our boozy pineapple upside down milkshakes and had leis on the tables for everyone to pick up and wear throughout the party.
