The Most Delicious & Creative Caesar-Salad Recipes
While everyone is celebrating July Fourth, I'm quietly enjoying a secondary holiday over here: National Caesar Salad Day.
Caesar salad is my favorite somewhat guilty pleasure appetizer. On one hand, it's a salad so it's gotta be considered a health food, right? On the other hand, that creamy dressing is anything but low-calorie.
Either way, Caesar salad makes a delicious starter or meal--and I think it's definitely worthy of its own (fake) national holiday.
While I love a traditional Caesar salad as much as the next gal, I also like that you can riff off of this simple dish and turn it into a creative, crunchy, and satisfying meal. (There's a local pizza place by my house that makes the most amazing chicken Caesar salad pizza, and I'm excited to try this similar recipe I found.)
It doesn't have to be National Caesar Salad Day to enjoy a big batch of romaine lettuce and homemade croutons: I've rounded up a few amazing recipes to give a try--even after the big fireworks show... which apparently has nothing to do with salad. Ha!
