My little guy has an important Kindergarten assignment due next week. He has to sing a song, write a story, create a poster, or make a video (slash I need to edit a video) about his favorite holiday or winter tradition.
Of course, my jolly mini man didn't even have to think twice about what he was going to choose. After all, our family goes a wee bit over-the-top when it comes to Christmas pajamas. Always have...
Yes, we're the ultimate fans of #famjams... And while, these last few years, rocking coordinating PJs has become something of a trend, my family has been doing it for years. Even before I had my own children, I'd rock matching jammies with my adult siblings and parents. It's been our thing for as long as I can remember... Since we were children, my mom would give us crazy PJs as our one Christmas Eve gift, and it's a beloved tradition that's just withstood the test of time. But I enjoy it even more now that I get to pick perfectly cuddly or festively silly pairs for my little people too.
We've gone the kitschy jams route in years past; but this time I went with classic and comfortable red-and-white striped sets from Burt's Bees Baby. Their organic "candy cane" onesies and separates are equal parts snuggly and sweet (just like the holiday treat they resemble!).
A note about sizing--I'd recommend ordering a size up for the kids (bonus: they'll hopefully still fit next year!). I ordered my husband, at 6-foot-3-inches an XL, and it was huge (in fact, my son was able to fit in them too!).
I decided to get more than one matching pair this year so that we could rock one of our sets throughout the season (to cozy up on the couch and eat cookies and watch holiday movies in!) and another matching set of pairs to gift on Christmas Eve.
What can I say? This is one holiday tradition that gives me the warm and fuzzies... Literally.
P.S. In case you want to take a walk down memory lane with me... Check out our PJs from last year!
And the year prior...
