July Fourth marks the official start of the summer entertaining season in my book. In our house, the kids are finally home from school, they haven't started camp yet, and we are finally able to kick back, let loose, and enjoy good food and refreshing cocktails and mocktails with friends and family.

Inspiring Summer Food Boards

The long weekend is upon us, and I couldn't be more ready for fun, sun, and delicious bits, bites, and sips. When it's hot out, I tend to shift my eating patterns. Instead of craving big meals, I prefer light plates, finger foods, salads, and appetizers. Don't get me wrong--I'm always game for a hearty barbecue; but, most days, I'd be happy with a plate of cheese and a glass of rosé. Bring on the charcuterie!

Oh, and if you wondered, I have an easy way to say the French word Shar-coot-ery (you are welcome).

Food boards are all the rage these days, and I'm excited to make a few trendy and tasty creations for the people I love. So I've rounded up a few to incite some inspiration. Alfresco entertaining at its finest. Enjoy.
