Get your kids ready to make a racquet! It's tennis time in NYC. Next Monday (April 19) the New York Junior Tennis League (NYJTL) will begin its annual Spring Community Tennis Program by providing FREE tennis lessons, tennis equipment, competition and special field trips to children ages 6-18 throughout NYC.

NYJTL Spring Community Tennis 

For 45 years, NYJTL has been changing lives through tennis and education. Today, it is the largest nonprofit youth tennis and education program in the nation. Through tennis, academic enrichment, healthy living and character development programs.

All NYJTL community and afterschool programs are offered at no cost to the participants. NYJTL has offered over 300,000,000 hours of year-round programs in tennis, academics, healthy living and character development for NYC youth. And we love that no one is ever rejected or turned away and you can register for as many as you want.

Spring Tennis for NYC Kids

The NYJTL spring program runs from April 19-June 27 with USTA-certified instructors. Don't worry about forking over for expensive equipment--there will be tennis racquets to use during program hours. Spring Programming will be ONLY online registration. Registration will open in early April.

  1. Registration must be done for every individual child for each site they attend.
  2. Children can register and attend multiple locations, each location must receive a SEPARATE registration
  3. After registering, go to the site to speak with coach or site director about schedule

  6. Before going onto the court for lesson, NYJTL will:
    1. Check Temperature
    2. Ask 4 Questions
      1. Do you have any COVID symptoms? (fever, cough, shortness of breath)
      2. Have you tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
      3. Have you been in contact with a suspected or confirmed case in the past 14 days?
      4. Have you traveled out of state recently?
