Bat Fun Facts

Bats started being associate with vampires at the turn of the 19th century thanks to Bram Stoker's, Dracula. Since then, the poor bat has been tied to evil, but in reality, bats are key species to helping their habitats flourish. They eat pesky insects and also pollinate crops. Did you know: a bat can eat up to 1,000 mosquitoes in an hour! And bats don’t just stop at mosquitoes; they eat a large number of other insects like beetles and moths that are agricultural pests.
