Style starts young. My girls have, ahem, strong shoe preferences (where did they learn this?). They like pretty things. Left to their own devices, they would wear sparkle dress up slippers everywhere. I'm on the hunt for trendy shoes for kids
As a practical and sporty mom, I want to fuel their fashion instincts while being realistic that playgrounds beckon. I want shoes that look great and can still withstand the jungle gym and long city walks. Mom and mini-fashionista can agree upon Venettini. This brand is high on fashion and wearability. Need proof of the fashion aspect? You'll notice tons of pictures of Suri Cruise in these loafers:
Not wanting to get far behind on the trends, we are outfitting the girls in these sweet patent loafers for spring. They are equally pretty and functional.

We will be wearing this shiny loafer for Easter and Mother's Day outings (about $75 on Amazon). The shoes wear incredibly well and are school-friendly too. But who am I kidding, they just look stunning. The girls pair them with dresses, skirts, leggings and adore the shine. Oh and for the young men, we love a little tassel on the loafer. All of the shoes have a comfortable (or so the girls tell me) insole and they love the rubber "traction" outsole.
