I don't know about you, but after what's seemed like a long winter season full of neutrals, I'm ready to inject a little color and print into my life. And I think my baby girl would agree with me...which is why I've been drawn to floral prints for her as of late. I know there will be plenty of time for bold hues and punchy prints when spring rolls around, but I'm not much for waiting. Haha! And why should we wait to put our little ladies in fun florals?
As luck would have it, there are loads of pretty florals out there that you can easily work into your girl's winter wardrobe. A floral dress, for instance, could be styled with tights and a great coat for a dressy feel. For a more casual look, a floral jacket or hoodie is all kinds of fun. You could even mix floral prints and layer a floral tunic under floral outwear. A good rule of thumb for print mixing is to stick to the same color family and pair a large scale print with a smaller one. Gymboree and The Children's Place both have some great florals for you!
And you could even get a jump on your spring shopping and pick up short sleeve florals that you could layer under long sleeves. Kira Kids' floral heart pieces would look darling layered over a long-sleeve white tee no? Plus, they would be perfect for Valentine's Day. You gotta love clothes that are multi-taskers...especially when we're talking about kiddos! We want to get some bang for our buck right?
